Heerhugowaard's Luna skatepark serves this North Holland city that made headlines by becoming one of the Netherlands' first energy-neutral neighborhoods in its Stad van de Zon (City of the Sun) development. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, a quarter pipe, and flat bars. Heerhugowaard sits in the Dijk en Waard municipality in the northern part of the Randstad fringe, surrounded by the flat Wieringermeer and Heerhugowaard polders.
