About Skatepark Kavel K
Kavel K serves The Hague's Loosduinen neighborhood, one of the city's western districts close to the coast. The concrete park features a street-oriented layout with ledges, flat bars, manual pads, banks, and a quarter pipe section. The neighborhood has a distinctly different feel from The Hague's governmental center - more working-class, more diverse, and with a strong community spirit. Kijkduin beach is just a couple of kilometers west, making it easy to combine skating with a sunset beach session. The park gets good afternoon sun and the open layout means decent airflow on warm days. Local riders have built a solid little scene here, and the park sees consistent use from neighborhood kids and more experienced skaters alike. Tram 3 connects Loosduinen to The Hague's center in about twenty minutes.
