About Skatepark Julianapark
Hoorn's Julianapark received a brand-new skatepark in 2024, bringing contemporary concrete design to this historic VOC harbor city on the Markermeer. The park features modern obstacles including ledges, banks, a bowl, manual pads, and quarter pipes with excellent concrete quality. Hoorn's Golden Age heritage is visible everywhere - the magnificent Hoofdtoren tower on the harbor, the Westfries Museum, and the picturesque waterfront streets recall the city's days as a major Dutch East India Company port. The Julianapark setting provides green space and shade, and the park is an easy walk from the station and city center. The Markermeer lake stretches to the horizon beyond the harbor, and on clear days you can see across to Flevoland. As one of the newest parks in the Netherlands, the design reflects the latest thinking in skatepark construction.
