Holtenbroek's skatepark provides a second outdoor skating option in Zwolle, complementing the De Wezenlanden park closer to the center. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, a quarter pipe, and flat bars. The Holtenbroek neighborhood is a 1960s-era residential district on Zwolle's north side, with a mixed community and a down-to-earth atmosphere. Zwolle's position as the capital of Overijssel gives it regional importance, and the city's beautiful medieval center - just a couple of kilometers south - offers some of the finest historic architecture in the eastern Netherlands.
