About Skatepark De Wezenlanden
Set in the green Wezenlanden park along the old city moat, this Zwolle skatepark combines solid concrete obstacles with one of the prettiest park settings in eastern Netherlands. The park features ledges, manual pads, banks, a quarter pipe, and a small bowl - nothing massive, but everything well-built and maintained. Zwolle's medieval center, surrounded by its star-shaped canal system, is one of the best-preserved in the country, with the Sassenpoort gate and Grote Kerk church as standout landmarks. The Wezenlanden park itself follows the line of the old fortifications, so you're literally skating on historic ground. The city's position as a rail hub makes it easily accessible from across the region. Peperbus, Zwolle's famous tower, watches over the skyline as you skate. After your session, cross the footbridge into the center for excellent Indonesian or Italian food at one of the many restaurants around the Grote Markt.
