About Skatepark Cuijk
Cuijk's skatepark serves this compact Brabant town on the Maas river across from the Gelderland side. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, a quarter pipe, and flat bars. Cuijk has roots going back to Roman times - the town sits on the site of Ceuclum, a Roman settlement, and the stone bridge the Romans built here was the only permanent bridge across the Maas in the entire Netherlands. Archaeological excavations regularly turn up Roman artifacts. The park draws riders from the Land van Cuijk region and provides a local spot in this historically rich border area. The Maas river offers scenic cycling along the dike roads, and the German border is about twenty kilometers east. The Sint-Martinuskerk and the remains of the medieval castle add character to the town center.
