Schiedam's Beatrixpark skatepark brings outdoor skating to this historic jenever (Dutch gin) city adjacent to Rotterdam. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, a quarter pipe, and flat bars within the pleasant Beatrixpark setting. Schiedam holds a Guinness World Record for having the tallest windmills in the world - five enormous grain mills still stand along the Schie river, their sails towering above the rooftops. The city's jenever distilling heritage is celebrated in numerous historic distilleries and the Jenevermuseum.
