About Satay Kajang Skatepark
Satay Kajang Skatepark, also known as MBKj Youth Park, holds the distinction of being the first Converse skatepark in Asia Pacific and the third in the world, relaunched in April 2017 as a collaboration between Converse Malaysia and Majlis Perbandaran Kajang on the site of an old hockey rink. Local skater Mariss Khan played a crucial role in bringing the facility to life. The free concrete park is open 24 hours and features rails for nose and tail grinding, half-pipes of different heights, ledges with the iconic Converse logo, speed bumps, hubbas, roll-ins, quarter pipes, funboxes, manual pads, London gaps, handrails, flat rails, banks, and mini ramps. The launch event featured demonstrations from the Converse APAC Skate Team with a 5,000-ringgit prize pool competition. The surrounding area includes badminton, football, futsal, and basketball courts, making it a comprehensive youth sports destination in Kajang.
