About Putrajaya Challenge Park
Putrajaya Challenge Park is a massive outdoor skatepark within a 30-hectare extreme sports complex in Putrajaya's Precinct 5, managed by Perbadanan Putrajaya. Designed by ex-professional skater Tim Altic of Alltec Skateparks in collaboration with Stretchmarks Asia, the park's 2,600-square-metre bowl sliding arena features three curved bowls known as Hips, Spine, and Street Spine. The street section incorporates elements adapted from iconic spots worldwide, including a Hubba Ledge inspired by Los Angeles, a Hollywood High-style handrail, and a Burnside Portland wallride. Described as the only park in Asia with skateable architectural elements, the smooth concrete surfaces flow from mellow beginner-friendly transitions into larger, more challenging obstacles without rigid skill-level zones. The broader complex includes a rock climbing facility with 20-meter walls, 9.1 kilometers of mountain bike trails through former rubber and palm oil forest, a pump track, and dirt jumps. Free entry to the skatepark makes it accessible to all, though the bowl-heavy design caters primarily to more experienced riders.
