About 1 Utama Skatepark
1 Utama Skatepark is a 13,000-square-foot facility at the LG Floor of 1 Utama Shopping Centre, making it the first skatepark built within a shopping mall in the Klang Valley. Designed by legendary American skatepark architect Tim Altic, who has been designing parks since 1977, the concrete park spans six zones featuring a street and park combination layout with bowls of different sizes, ledges, grind rails, kickers, wave banks, a pump track, and slopes ranging from beginner to advanced. An overhead bridge provides partial shelter from tropical weather. The design features flowing paths allowing skaters to weave their own routes, with plenty of flat areas for beginners alongside challenging obstacles for experienced riders. Free and open during mall hours, the park aims to create an inclusive skating community connecting kids, teenagers, adults, and families in one of Malaysia's busiest shopping destinations.
