About Šiauliai Central Park
Šiauliai's Central Park skatepark serves Lithuania's fourth-largest city, best known globally for the Hill of Crosses - an extraordinary pilgrimage site outside the city where hundreds of thousands of crosses have been planted since the 19th century as a symbol of Lithuanian Catholic defiance against oppression. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Šiauliai's pedestrian boulevard and the Sun Clock square anchor the rebuilt city center (devastated in both World Wars). The park draws riders from northern Lithuania. The food is Lithuanian Žemaitija-influenced - hearty dairy dishes, kastinis (butter-based sauce), and the beer culture of the north.
