About Skrīveri Skatepark
Skrīveri's skatepark serves this small Daugava-side town famous throughout Latvia for one thing - Gotiņa, the beloved caramel-like toffee candy produced here since 1967 that every Latvian grew up eating. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Skrīveri sits at the confluence of the Daugava and Ogre rivers, and the town's dendrological park preserves exotic tree species. The candy factory and its shop remain the main draw for visitors. The park draws riders from the Skrīveri area. The food is forever associated with Gotiņa - but beyond the toffee, traditional Latvian dishes and the Daugava river fish are the local staples.
