About Vicenza Skatepark
Vicenza's skatepark sits in the Parco Fornaci in the city of Palladio - the Renaissance architect whose villas dot the surrounding countryside and earned the city UNESCO World Heritage status. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Vicenza's centro storico is essentially an open-air Palladio museum, with the Teatro Olimpico (the world's oldest surviving indoor theater), the Basilica Palladiana, and numerous palazzi lining the Corso. The surrounding Veneto countryside is studded with Palladian villas, many still privately owned and working farms. The park draws riders from across the Vicenza province. The food is Vicentino - baccalà alla vicentina (dried cod in cream), risi e bisi (rice and peas), and bigoli pasta are traditional. Soave and Gambellara wines from the nearby hills are excellent.
