About Viale Canton Ticino
Pavia's skatepark serves this historic university city on the Ticino river, home to one of Italy's oldest and most prestigious universities (founded 1361). The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Pavia's covered bridge across the Ticino is one of Italy's most photogenic structures, and the Romanesque churches with their brick facades give the city a warm, medieval character. The Certosa di Pavia, a few kilometers north, is one of the most magnificent monasteries in the world - its marble facade is jaw-dropping. The park draws riders from the Pavia area. The food is Lombard-rice country - risotto alla certosina (with river crayfish), zuppa pavese, and the local wines from the Oltrepò Pavese hills. The flat Lomellina rice paddies stretch west.
