About Via Napoleone Colajanni
Ragusa's skatepark serves this southeastern Sicilian city whose lower quarter - Ragusa Ibla - is one of the most beautiful baroque ensembles in Italy, rebuilt after the devastating 1693 earthquake. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Ragusa Ibla's churches, palazzi, and the magnificent Giardino Ibleo are UNESCO World Heritage sites. The Val di Noto region surrounding Ragusa is the epicenter of Sicilian baroque architecture. The park draws riders from southeastern Sicily. The food is extraordinary - caciocavallo ragusano cheese, scacce (stuffed flatbread), and the local Cerasuolo di Vittoria wine (Sicily's only DOCG). Inspector Montalbano's fictional town of Vigata was filmed here and in nearby Modica, drawing literary tourists from around the world.
