About Torangius Skatepark
Oristano's Torangius skatepark serves the capital of Sardinia's western coast province. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Oristano hosts the Sartiglia, one of Italy's most spectacular equestrian festivals - masked horsemen gallop at full speed trying to spear a star-shaped target, a tradition dating back to medieval jousting. The nearby Tharros archaeological site preserves a Phoenician and Roman city on the Sinis peninsula, one of Sardinia's most important ancient sites. The park draws riders from the Oristano area. The food is Sardinian with a seafood emphasis - bottarga (mullet roe) from the nearby Cabras lagoon is the local delicacy, and the local vernaccia wine is unique to the area. The coastal lagoons are home to flamingos and other wading birds.
