About Terni Skatepark
Terni's skatepark serves this southern Umbrian city that gave the world Valentine's Day - Saint Valentine was the bishop of Terni, and his relics rest in the basilica here. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Terni is an industrial city with a steel-making heritage, but the surrounding countryside is extraordinarily beautiful - the Cascata delle Marmore, a 165-meter waterfall created by the ancient Romans, is one of Italy's most spectacular natural sights. The park draws riders from southern Umbria. The Valnerina valley stretching east toward Norcia offers black truffle territory and some of Umbria's finest food. Norcia's norcini (butchers) are legendary, producing cured meats that define Italian charcuterie. The park provides a community spot in this workmanlike city surrounded by natural beauty.
