About Skatepark Modica
Modica's skatepark serves this UNESCO-listed Baroque masterpiece in southeastern Sicily - rebuilt after the devastating 1693 earthquake, Modica's churches cascade down a limestone gorge in one of Italy's most dramatic townscapes. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and rails. Modica is famous for its Aztec-method chocolate, made with cold-worked cocoa and sugar that produces a distinctive grainy texture, brought to Sicily by the Spanish. The Corso Umberto running through the gorge bottom is one of Sicily's finest streets. The park draws riders from the Val di Noto. The food features arancini, pasta alla Norma, cannoli, and the celebrated Modica chocolate in dozens of flavors.
