About Skatepark Lucca
Lucca's skatepark serves this perfectly preserved Renaissance walled city - one of the few in Italy to retain its complete circuit of walls, now topped by a tree-lined promenade that's become the city's most beloved public space. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars outside the walls. Lucca's oval Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, built on the footprint of a Roman amphitheater, and the Torre Guinigi with its rooftop garden of oak trees are iconic landmarks. Giacomo Puccini was born here, and the annual Summer Festival brings international music acts. The food is quintessentially Tuscan - tordelli lucchesi (meat-stuffed pasta), zuppa di farro, and the local olive oil. The park draws riders from across the Lucca province. The walled city itself makes for an incredible flatground cruise along the ramparts.
