About Santa Barbara Skatepark
Viterbo's Santa Barbara skatepark serves this medieval city north of Rome that was once the seat of the papacy. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Viterbo's medieval quarter - the Quartiere San Pellegrino - is one of the best-preserved in Italy, with narrow streets, external staircases, and tower houses creating an atmosphere that hasn't changed in centuries. The Palazzo dei Papi (Papal Palace) with its Gothic loggia is where several papal conclaves took place. The park draws riders from the Tuscia area. The food is rustic Lazio - acquacotta, pici pasta, and excellent local olive oil. The nearby Terme dei Papi hot springs have been used since Etruscan times.
