About San Donà di Piave Skatepark
San Donà di Piave's skatepark serves this Venetian hinterland town on the Piave river - Italy's sacred river, where the Italian army stopped the Austro-Hungarian advance in 1918. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. San Donà was almost entirely destroyed in World War I and rebuilt, giving it a twentieth-century character distinct from the medieval and Renaissance towns nearby. The Piave river valley provides natural beauty, and the Adriatic beaches at Jesolo and Caorle are just a short drive east. The park draws riders from the lower Piave area. The food is Venetian - risotto, sarde in saor, and prosecco from the nearby hills feature prominently.
