About Polaresco Skatepark
Bergamo's Polaresco skatepark sits below the spectacular Città Alta - the walled upper town that is one of Italy's most dramatic urban landscapes. The concrete park features a bowl, ledges, banks, manual pads, and quarter pipes. Bergamo's upper and lower cities create a dual personality - the medieval Città Alta with its Venetian walls (UNESCO World Heritage), the Colleoni Chapel, and the Piazza Vecchia sits above the modern Città Bassa. The funicular connecting the two is an experience in itself. Bergamo's food tradition includes casoncelli (stuffed pasta with butter and sage), polenta e osei (polenta with small birds), and Valcalepio wines from the surrounding hills. The park draws riders from across the Bergamo area. The Orobie Alps begin just north, and the nearby Isola Bergamasca provides pastoral countryside.
