About Parco San Marco Skatepark
Latina's skatepark serves this unique Lazio city that was built from scratch during the 1930s as part of Mussolini's draining of the Pontine Marshes. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Latina is one of Italy's youngest cities - its rationalist architecture and planned grid layout reflect its fascist-era origins. The city has moved beyond its politically charged founding to develop its own identity. The Parco Nazionale del Circeo, protecting a stretch of coast, sand dunes, and the mystical Monte Circeo (associated with Homer's Circe), lies south. The park draws riders from the Pontine area.
