About Parco del Colombaio
La Spezia's Parco del Colombaio skatepark serves the gateway city to the Cinque Terre - Italy's famous five colorful fishing villages clinging to the Ligurian coast. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. La Spezia is a working naval city with an excellent museum of modern art (CAMeC) and a vibrant food market. The Cinque Terre trails and villages are accessible by train in minutes, and the Gulf of Poets - where Shelley and Byron once lived - stretches to the beautiful town of Lerici. The park draws riders from the La Spezia area. Ligurian food is at its finest here - trofie al pesto, farinata, focaccia di Recco, and fresh anchovies are essential. The park provides a skating base for exploring one of Italy's most spectacular coastlines.
