About Lugagnano Skatepark
Lugagnano's 2018 skatepark serves this small town west of Verona on the edge of the Valpolicella wine country. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. The Valpolicella is famous for Amarone - one of Italy's most prestigious red wines, made from dried grapes - and the surrounding hills of cherry orchards, vineyards, and Romanesque pievi (parish churches) are beautiful. Verona itself, with its Roman Arena, Juliet's balcony, and elegant piazzas, is just a few kilometers east. The park draws riders from western Verona and the Valpolicella communities. Lake Garda's southern shore is accessible for day trips, adding resort-town vibes to the area. The food is Veronese - risotto all'Amarone, bollito with pearà sauce, and pandoro (Verona's rival to Milan's panettone) are signatures.
