About Lecce Skatepark
Lecce's skatepark sits in the Parco di Belloluogo in the 'Florence of the South' - a city whose extravagant baroque architecture in soft golden limestone makes it one of Italy's most visually stunning places. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Lecce's centro storico is a theatrical display of carved stone - every surface of the Basilica di Santa Croce seems to writhe with angels, animals, and flowers. The Salento peninsula stretching south has some of Italy's finest beaches, with crystal-clear water over white sand at Porto Cesareo and the Maldives of Italy (Pescoluse). The park draws riders from across the Salento. The food is pure Salentino - rustico leccese (puff pastry with béchamel and tomato), ciceri e tria (chickpea and fried pasta), and Negroamaro wines. Summer evening sessions in the warm Salento air are unforgettable.
