About Follonica Skatepark
Follonica's skatepark sits in the Parco Centrale of this Tuscan coastal town on the Gulf of Follonica, opposite Elba island. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Follonica was historically an iron-working center - the church of San Leopoldo has iron decorations as a tribute - but has evolved into a popular beach resort. The Gulf's calm, shallow waters are ideal for families, and the surrounding Maremma countryside offers wild, unspoiled nature. The park draws riders from the Maremma coast. The food combines seafood and Maremma traditions - acquacotta, fresh fish, and robust wines from the nearby Monteregio di Massa Marittima DOC. Elba island is visible across the water and reachable by ferry from nearby Piombino.
