About Elbo Skatepark
Elbo is Bologna's most established skatepark, serving the city's vibrant skate community since 2004. The park features a solid mix of street and transition elements including a bowl, ledges, rails, manual pads, and quarter pipes. Bologna - la grassa (the fat one), la dotta (the learned one), la rossa (the red one) - lives up to all three nicknames with its incredible food scene, Europe's oldest university, and distinctive red-brick architecture. The park sits near the city's ring road on the east side, accessible by bus from the medieval center with its famous Due Torri towers. Bologna's food is legendary - tortellini in brodo, mortadella, and ragù alla bolognese (never called 'spaghetti bolognese' here) are all essentials. The university population keeps the city young and energetic, and the skate scene benefits from this creative, youthful energy. Evening sessions are popular, followed by aperitivo along Via Zamboni. Elbo Skatepark was built by Dreamland Skateparks in 2004.
