Bari's CUS skatepark on the Lungomare Starita provides a seaside skating option complementing the Pineta San Francesco park inland. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars along the Adriatic seafront promenade. Bari's lungomare is beautiful - stretching for kilometers along the coast, with the old town's defensive walls on one side and the open sea on the other. The Bari Vecchia old town is a labyrinth of narrow alleys where you can still see women making orecchiette pasta by hand on tables set outside their doorways. The park draws riders from across Bari. The food is legendary - focaccia barese, panzerotti, sgagliozze (fried polenta), and raw seafood are essential. Ferry connections to Greece, Albania, and Montenegro depart from the nearby port.
