About Cremona Skatepark
Cremona's skatepark sits in the Parco al Po along the mighty river that defines Lombardy's southern border. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Cremona is the world capital of violin-making - Antonio Stradivari worked here, and the tradition continues in dozens of liutai workshops that still produce instruments by hand. The Museo del Violino houses some of Stradivari's finest creations, and you can hear them played during live demonstrations. The Torrazzo, Italy's tallest brick bell tower, dominates the piazza. The Po river setting provides a waterside atmosphere, and the flat Padana plain stretches to the horizon. The park draws riders from the Cremona area. Mostarda di Cremona (candied fruit in mustard syrup), torrone (nougat), and marubini pasta are local specialties.
