About Brixen Skatepark
Bressanone's skatepark serves South Tyrol's oldest city - a bishop's seat since the year 901. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Bressanone (Brixen in German) sits at the confluence of the Isarco and Rienza rivers, with a stunning medieval center of arcaded streets, the Baroque cathedral, and the bishop's palace with its Renaissance cloisters. The surrounding valley is wine-growing country, and the Alpe di Siusi - the largest high-altitude alpine meadow in Europe - is just up the road. The park draws riders from the Isarco valley. The food blends South Tyrolean and Italian traditions - canederli, schlutzkrapfen, and the local Sylvaner white wine are excellent. Winter offers skiing at Plose and Bressanone's famous Christmas market in the medieval center.
