About Borgo San Lorenzo Skatepark
Borgo San Lorenzo's skatepark serves this Mugello Valley town in the green hills north of Florence. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. The Mugello is famous for two things: the autodromo that hosts MotoGP races, and being the ancestral homeland of the Medici family who shaped Florence and the Renaissance. The valley is lush and agricultural, producing excellent olive oil, honey, and chestnuts. Borgo San Lorenzo is the valley's main town, with a pleasant center and good connections to Florence by train. The park draws riders from across the Mugello. The surrounding hills are dotted with Romanesque churches, fortified farmhouses, and hiking trails through chestnut forests. This is Tuscany at its most authentic - far from the tourist crowds but rooted in the landscape that inspired the Renaissance.
