About Aosta Skatepark
Aosta's skatepark sits in the Tzamberlet sports area in Italy's smallest region - the Aosta Valley, a French-speaking Alpine corridor surrounded by the highest peaks in the Alps. The concrete park features ledges, banks, manual pads, quarter pipes, and flat bars. Aosta was founded by Augustus Caesar in 25 BC, and the Roman ruins - the Arch of Augustus, the Porta Praetoria, and the theater - are remarkably well-preserved. Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn (Cervino), and Monte Rosa, three of Europe's highest peaks, are all visible from the valley. The park draws riders from this small bilingual community. The food blends Italian and French Alpine traditions - fontina cheese fondue, carbonade (beef stew), and genepì liqueur are signatures. Skiing in Courmayeur or Cervinia is world-class, and summer hiking in the Gran Paradiso National Park is spectacular.
