About Shanganagh Skatepark
In Shankill's Shanganagh Park on Dublin's far southside, this skatepark serves the communities at the Dublin-Wicklow border. The park features a mini ramp, quarter pipes, ledges, a flat rail, and a gap. Shanganagh Park is a large open green space near the coast, and the park benefits from the sea air and suburban quiet. Shankill village retains some of its original character despite absorption into the Dublin commuter belt, and the nearby Shanganagh Cemetery is an important burial ground for Irish leaders. The DART connection provides rail access, and the coastal walk to Bray passes through beautiful cliff scenery. Local riders enjoy the southside atmosphere, and the park serves as a gathering point for Shankill and Ballybrack youth. The Brady's pub in Shankill is a local institution.
