About Lucan Skatepark
In the Griffeen Valley Park of Dublin's western suburb Lucan, this skatepark serves one of the capital's fastest-growing communities. The park features a bowl, quarter pipes, ledges, a flat rail, a manual pad, and a funbox. The Griffeen Valley is a beautiful linear park following the Griffeen River, providing a green corridor through the suburb. Lucan has grown enormously since the 1990s, and the young population keeps the skatepark busy. The village center retains its old-world charm with traditional pubs and the Lucan Spa Hotel area. The M4 motorway connection means riders from further west occasionally stop by. Local riders have a strong community spirit, and the park hosts informal sessions and competitions. The nearby Liffey Valley Shopping Centre has extensive food options, and the river walks are excellent for cooling down between runs.
