About Clonmel Skatepark
Capital of County Tipperary, sitting dramatically in the Suir Valley beneath the Comeragh Mountains, Clonmel's skatepark serves the south-east's largest inland town. The park features a bowl, quarter pipes, ledges, a flat rail, and a manual pad. Clonmel has a rich history - it was the last town in Ireland to resist Cromwell - and the Suir River provides beautiful riverside walks. The Comeraghs offer wild mountain hiking, and the Glen of Aherlow to the north is one of Ireland's most beautiful valleys. Local riders benefit from the town's status as a regional center, drawing skaters from across south Tipperary. The Main Guard (a 17th-century courthouse) and the old town walls provide architectural interest. The pubs and restaurants serve Tipperary's excellent local produce.
