About Carrickfergus Skatepark
In the shadow of the magnificent 12th-century Norman castle on Belfast Lough, Carrickfergus's skatepark combines medieval heritage with modern recreation. The park features a bowl, quarter pipes, ledges, a flat rail, and a manual pad. Carrickfergus Castle is one of the best-preserved Norman castles in Ireland, and its setting on the lough shore is dramatic. The town is also where William of Orange landed in 1690 before the Battle of the Boyne. Andrew Jackson's ancestral home is nearby, connecting this small town to American presidential history.
