About Ardee Skatepark
In the historic north Louth town of Ardee - site of the legendary combat between Cú Chulainn and Ferdia - this skatepark brings recreation to the Dee Valley. The park features a mini ramp, quarter pipes, ledges, a flat rail, and a manual pad. Ardee has two castles in its main street and a rich medieval heritage. The legendary ford where Cú Chulainn fought his foster-brother gave the town its name (Áth Fhirdia - Ford of Ferdia). The surrounding north Leinster countryside is fertile farmland, and the town serves as a market center for the area. Local riders enjoy the park's community atmosphere, and the traditional pubs serve a good pint in authentic surroundings. The nearby Louth countryside offers quiet cycling and walking.
