About Ajka Skatepark
In the Bakony Hills of western Hungary, Ajka's skatepark serves this industrial town known for alumina production and glass-making. The park features a mini ramp, quarter pipes, ledges, a flat rail, and a manual pad. The surrounding Bakony forest is one of Hungary's most extensive woodland areas, and the hills provide a scenic contrast to the flat Great Plain that dominates much of the country. The town's glass-making tradition continues at the Ajka Crystal factory, producing hand-cut crystal that's exported worldwide. Local riders enjoy the hilly setting and the park's role as a community gathering point. The town has basic amenities and connects to Veszprém and the Balaton region. The Bakony hills offer excellent hiking, and the crystal factory is worth a visit for its craftwork demonstrations.
