About Kavala Skatepark
Kavala Skatepark is located on Erythrou Stavrou street in Kavala, a beautiful port city in northeastern Greece built amphitheatrically around a bay beneath a Byzantine fortress. Built in 2015, the outdoor park has street features including ledges, flat bars, banks, and some quarterpipes. Kavala's setting is stunning - the old town climbs up the hillside with the castle on top, and the modern city wraps around the waterfront. The skatepark serves a compact but enthusiastic local scene. The Macedonian coast gets more rain and wind than southern Greece, so sessions can be weather-dependent, but the port city atmosphere and nearby seafood tavernas make it a great spot to combine skating with exploring. The concrete is reasonable quality and the features work well for intermediate-level skating.
