About Elefsina Skatepark
Elefsina Skatepark is located on Kanellopoulou street in Elefsina (ancient Eleusis), a city west of Athens that was the site of the ancient Eleusinian Mysteries and served as a 2023 European Capital of Culture. Built in 2017, the park has street features with ledges, flat bars, and banks. Elefsina has been transforming from an industrial port town into a cultural destination, and the skatepark is part of that renewal. The ancient sanctuary ruins where secret rituals were performed for over a thousand years are right in the city, creating a wild juxtaposition between ancient mystery cults and modern street skating. The Saronic Gulf is nearby and the industrial waterfront is being redeveloped. The park gets use from both local Elefsina skaters and some Athens riders who make the trip out.
