About Rauma Skatepark
Rauma Skatepark is on Tehtaankatu in Rauma, home to one of Finland's two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the city - Old Rauma is the largest unified wooden town in the Nordic countries, with 600 colorful wooden buildings dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. The old town is genuinely extraordinary - narrow cobblestone streets lined with pastel-colored wooden houses, many now housing boutiques, cafés, and artisan workshops. Rauma is also famous for its unique local dialect and the tradition of bobbin lace-making (Rauma Lace Week is held every summer). The Bronze Age Sammallahdenmäki burial cairns nearby are another UNESCO site.
