About Micropolis (Töölö)
Micropolis is Helsinki's iconic outdoor skatepark tucked into the Humallahti bay area of the Töölö district, right where the city meets the waterfront. Built in 2006, it's one of the oldest purpose-built skateparks in Finland and has been a cornerstone of the Helsinki scene for nearly two decades. The park features smooth concrete banks, ledges, a manual pad, and transition elements that flow together nicely along the bay shoreline. On summer evenings the midnight twilight keeps sessions going past 11 PM, and the surrounding Töölö neighborhood has excellent cafés, restaurants, and the Temppeliaukio Rock Church nearby. The Töölönlahti bay creates a beautiful backdrop, and after skating you can walk along the waterfront promenade all the way to the city center.
