About Hyvinkää Skatepark
Hyvinkää Skatepark is on Torikatu in Hyvinkää, a city in southern Finland known as the birthplace of the Finnish railway - the first train in Finland ran from Helsinki to Hämeenlinna through Hyvinkää in 1862. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. The Finnish Railway Museum in Hyvinkää tells this history with vintage locomotives and rolling stock. The city has a strong sports tradition, particularly athletics, and the Sveitsi outdoor recreation area with its nature trails is popular. There are restaurants and shops in the center, and the train to Helsinki takes about 50 minutes.
