About Hyrylä Skatepark
Hyrylä Skatepark is at Kilpailukuja in Hyrylä, the center of Tuusula municipality on the famous Lake Tuusula. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Tuusula is historically one of Finland's most culturally significant places - the lakeside artist community in the early 1900s included Sibelius, painters Pekka Halonen and Eero Järnefelt, and poet Juhani Aho. The former military garrison area in Hyrylä is being transformed into a new residential district. The Halosenniemi art museum on the lake shore is beautiful, and the Tuusula Lake cultural trail connects the various artist homes. A culturally rich setting for a suburban skatepark.
