About Hiedanranta (Muovitehdas)
Hiedanranta, also known as Muovitehdas (the Plastic Factory), is an indoor skatepark housed in a converted industrial building in the Hiedanranta development area of Tampere, a former factory district being transformed into a new urban neighborhood on the shores of Lake Nรคsijรคrvi. The park features wooden ramps, a mini ramp, street obstacles including rails, ledges, and flat bars, plus transition elements. The industrial setting gives it a raw, authentic feel that the Tampere skate community loves. The lakefront area around Hiedanranta is being developed into one of Finland's most ambitious urban renewal projects, and the creative energy in the area is palpable. Entry fee applies.
