About Hanko Skatepark
Hanko Skatepark is on Appelgrenintie in Hanko, Finland's southernmost city - a historic spa and beach resort town on a peninsula jutting into the Baltic Sea. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Hanko is unique in Finland - it has a Swedish-influenced resort character with beautiful Victorian-era wooden villas, a long sandy beach, and a sailing culture that makes it feel almost Mediterranean in summer. The Eastern Harbour area has excellent seafood restaurants, and the Casino building on the beach is a landmark. During WWII, Hanko was a Soviet naval base. The summer atmosphere here is unmatched in Finland, with beach culture and warm sea breezes.
