About Sillamäe Skatepark
Sillamäe's skatepark serves this remarkable Stalinist-era closed city on the Baltic coast - built in the late 1940s to process uranium for the Soviet nuclear program, the town was erased from maps and hidden behind a code name. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Sillamäe's perfectly preserved Stalinist neoclassical architecture, with its grand promenade descending to the Baltic Sea, is one of the finest examples of Soviet monumental planning in the Baltics. The park draws riders from the Ida-Virumaa coast. The food is Russian-Estonian - the predominantly Russian-speaking population maintains Soviet-era dining traditions alongside Estonian fare.
