About Paldiski Skatepark

Paldiski's skatepark serves this Baltic coast town that was a closed Soviet nuclear submarine training base - the concrete reactor buildings and military ruins on the Pakri peninsula remain eerie reminders. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Founded by Peter the Great as a Baltic naval base (originally Baltiski Port), Paldiski was off-limits to civilians until 1994. The dramatic Pakri cliffs - limestone formations rising from the Baltic - and the lighthouse offer wild coastal scenery. The park draws riders from the Paldiski-Keila area. The food is modest - a few cafés and restaurants serving this recovering military town.
