About Kuressaare Skatepark
Kuressaare's skatepark serves the capital of Saaremaa, Estonia's largest island, where the perfectly preserved medieval Bishop's Castle surrounded by a moat is the finest fortress in the Baltics. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Saaremaa's windswept landscape of juniper meadows, windmills, and dolomite cliffs retains an old-world character. The island was closed to outsiders during the Soviet era, preserving its traditions. The park draws riders from the island community. The food is island Estonian - Saaremaa beer from the local brewery, smoked fish, dark rye bread, and the lamb that grazes on the island's juniper heath.
